10 Ways to Save Earth and reduce your carbon Footprint

Hello everyone, I hope you are aware that Earth has been damaged a lot by human beings as technology keeps growing but I don't think we can have an eco-friendly lifestyle unless we reduce the damage to Earth. Today, I'm going to give you Exciting and long lasting tips to save Our home from the Toxic. 

1. Switch to Renewable Energy

Yes, Renewable resources are one of the best ways to reduce your Carbon Footprint as they don't really pollute and are mainly eco-friendly. Renewable sources are sources that can replenish means that they can be used again and again and can never get finished. The exact opposite to this is Non-renewable resources.Like Coal, Petroleum, Natural Gas etc. These Non-renewable resources are also called Fossil Fuels. These resources increase more damage to the planet as energy is released from them when burnt. (remember, Burning releases Air pollution that causes Lung diseases and Global Warming)Once they are burnt, they can never be used up again! And the world might surely face a shortage as they take millions of years to transform into one of these fossil Fuels from dead plants and animals that are buried underground. Now, more than 90% of the energy requirements are coming from Non-renewable sources at this duration. Ex of Renewable Sources are Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Hydroelectric Energy, Geothermal Energy etc. Solar Energy converts heat to Electricity with the help of solar panels!They Capture heat through Solar cells. Multiple solar cells are grouped together and a Solar Panel is Formed.Solar Cells sizes depend on the models,  electricity Generation, Panel Size, Durability etc. They work the best in good Sunlight. They have multiple advantages and very few disadvantages. Wind Energy Works the best in Windy areas with the help of windmills. Windmills are equipped with a heavy turbine located on the top of the windmill which can be rotated only with the help of strong winds. When the Turbine rotates, lots of Electricity is produced. They are too tall and is difficult to set up in individual houses. Hydroelectric Energy works with the help of  Hydroelectric Turbines. The Turbine has to rotate with the help of immense water  pressure for electricity generation. They are placed in the middle of the dams so the high water pressure moves the turbine. Geothermal Energy too takes help from Geothermal Turbine to generate electricity. As you are aware that the Core's temperature is boiling hot, cold water is pumped into the core where steam comes out in high pressure and rotates the geothermal turbine. 

Disadvantages of Fossil Fuels:

They are Non-renewable and form from dead plants and animals after a million years

They pollute a lot and causes Lung Cancer

2. Improve Afforestation

Trees only don't give oxygen but also purifies the air and keeps the climate in control. Growing more trees is called Afforestation. The Exact opposite to this is called Deforestation. Deforestation is called cutting down trees. We pollute a lot as we Overuse technology that damages the environment and leads to a temperature increase but trees absorb the Pollution and Purify them into oxygen that stops Global warming. They are also reducing the Risk of Lung diseases. If we keep Deforetrating, there will be less oxygen to breath and the risk of Lung diseases would increase. Trees also provide us fruits and vegetables that makes it a nutritious meal for us.  Every tree has leaves and leaves contain a small pore called Stomata that's used for Gas Exchange. Carbon Dioxide travels through stomata and the purified oxygen comes back through stomata.

It's a natural Air Purifier and reduces risk of Lung Cancer

3. Use Public Transport or Carpool 

Using Public transport can reduce  the Consumption of Petroleum/fossil Fuels drastically and public transport vehicles like buses, Metros have the capacity to carry more population and is a money saver. They are also reducing traffic on road and they consume lesser fuel than cars. They also release less pollution and may give a better Mileage.A few Governments have also Introduced Public transport lanes were only public transportation vehicles have access to reach destinations faster. A few Public transport vehicles also have been assigned routes by the government so Commuters can reach their destinations faster. Carpooling to is a good idea but isn't the greatest as it carries less crowd and consumes more fuel for a short crowd. They really may not reduce Traffic on road unless everyone use it and may not reduce pollution drastically.

4. Walk, Cycle to Nearby Localities

Talking a car for a small distance isn't necessary. Instead, try walking or cycling. A Car again uses Fossil Fuels/Petroleum to move even for a small distance and again pollutes. Walking can be an Exercise or a quick warm up for you. Cycling too is a good Exercise and reduces your travel time than walking as you travel in a higher speed.

It can be an Exercise or a warm up for you
Reduces Pollution
Reduces traffic
Saves fossil Fuels and Fuel Expenses

5. Stop Using Plastic

Plastic is know for its Danger. They are really Hazardous ones as they are made up of fossil Fuels and dangerous Chemicals. They take around a million years to decompose and all types of plastic mostly can't be recycled. Now, dumping plastic on roads or in Suburbs can make the Locality unhygienic. The world thinks they don't have another option apart from dumping it in lakes but we are polluting the water and the lives of many animals are at stake. As you are aware that we get salt and water from the sea, we may not get delicious salt and clean water unless we stop polluting our water bodies. Try to use steal instead and try not to pack food in plastic. 

Dis-advantages of plastic:

Most plastics cannot be recycled

They are made up of hazardous chemicals and fossil fuels

Makes the Dumping area unhygienic

They can only be used as a temporary purpose

Etc

 

6. Recycle

Please try your best to recycle products so trees lives aren't at stake. If we don't recycle, this is the main reason why it's necessary to deforestate. We get paper and fine wood from trees where both can be recycled. We instead don't recycle paper but we in fact may throw it away. If we throw paper away, a tree's life is being wasted and the trash lands up in the dumping yard for a long time! Why not recycle? Recycling is a process where used paper or different objects can be used again to manufacture fresh paper or other fresh objects. Some Damaged wood or furniture too can be recycled so trees aren't brought down. We in fact also get paid if we sell them to recycling industries. 

7. Save Water

Water is a basic requirement for our life!Water is Definitely Renewable but can be wasted in many different ways. Its required for cooking, drinking, cleaning and many others. 

1. Turn off Running water

2. Wash utensils by hand instead of a dishwasher

3. Wash Clothes by hand than a Washing Machine

4. Take Bucket or hand shower baths

5. Water greenery manually than Sprinklers 

6. Wash car with bucket than pipe

8. Save Electricity 

Saving Electricity reduces the consumption of Fossil Fuels. Try switching of Lights, fans, plug ports and other electronics if they aren't being used so Electricity is being saved and reduces your bill. Some technology or electronics consume lots of Energy. Before buying, Check its consumption and its energy consumption rating so electricity is saved. Try to also reduce your usage of Complicated machines like Elevators, Escalators, Washing Machines, Dishwashers and others as their consumption may be high. Also try switching to LED lights as their consumption is extremely low.

9. Vehicle Emission

When ever you are buying a Heavy Truck or a Vehicle, I consider to purchase a Vehicle with good emission. Vehicles without a proper Emission leads to high Air pollution Production and cannot perform the best. The latest vehicles with the best Emission Produces less pollution and and Consumes less Fuel. 

10. Install Rain water Harvesting and other Water sources

Rain Water Harvesting is a system that collects rain water and stores it in a particular place. For more water collection, you need to fix water pipes on roofs, ceilings etc. As soon as it rains, the water lands up in the pipes and travels to its storage tank or a lake. A lake too is important as it stores rain water and reduces the Risk of a flood. 

Air pollution:

Air pollution means bad air or smoke that causes temperature increase to planet and increases risk of we experiencing Lung Diseases

Fossil Fuels:

Can never ever be used again if used once and takes a million years to form dead plants and animals
